The day after Thanksgiving nearly 4 years ago, I watched a documentary that changed my life. Sounds dramatic, but it truly did. It was the thing that really kicked my passion for health and wellness into high gear.
It is called ‘Food Matters’. It is a documentary created by James Colquhoun and Laurentine ten Bosch who have since put together another film called ‘Hungry for Change’.
These films really helped me to realize that I needed to start to take my health into my own hands and better educate myself on the truth about food and what I was putting into my body. The film makers do a great job of making it easy to understand and the experts they interview talk from their own experience – many of them having overcome severe illness or achieved significant weight loss.
If you’re feeling ready for a kick in the butt, or are curious about how what you eat affects your health, I highly recommend watching these films. I would suggest watching ‘Hungry for Change’ first – both are currently free to watch with a Netflix or Amazon prime membership (if you don’t have one, someone you know likely does!).
The www.foodmatters.tv website explains ‘Hungry for Change’ best:
“Hungry for Change exposes shocking secrets the diet, weightloss and food industry don’t want you to know about; deceptive strategies designed to keep you coming back for more. Find out what’s keeping you from having the body and health you deserve and how to escape the diet trap forever.”
I hope you enjoy!
