Hi! I’m Danielle. I’m a Certified Health Coach (AADP) with a passion for helping over-stressed, time-deprived professionals take back control of their lives and health. I want to share the things that I wish I had known, and support you through your journey to live the life you want and deserve.

My passion for health and wellness really kicked into gear about 6 years ago when I was working in a stressful job as an engineer and was simply not taking care of myself.  I had a variety of health issues that included..

  • Digestion issues
  • Heartburn
  • ~10-20 unwanted pounds
  • Severe cystic acne
  • Seasonal allergies that would keep me indoors for 3-4 months out of the year
  • Weak immune system (I got sick often)
  • Chronic headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Low energy
  • Restless leg syndrome
  • High stress

I was in a place where I felt like I was in a constant battle with my body. Food was always on my mind and I would have constant cravings for junk and sugar.  I would yo-yo in and out of diets which usually consisted of cutting out a lengthy list of foods and painful visits to the gym.  Typically each diet would end with me going back to those foods I was craving and then beating myself up for it…

It wasn’t until I learned the truth about food that everything changed.  I started giving my body what it really needed and with time I was able to get to a place where I didn’t feel like I was in a fight with my body. I changed my approach and started to pay attention to how certain foods made me feel. I stopped following ‘other people’s diets’ and realized that I needed to discover ‘my diet’.

Over the years I’ve cleared up most of my health issues and then some.  I have reached and maintained my ideal weight (for 3 years now!). I have tons more energy and don’t get the afternoon crash that I used to anticipate and struggle with. My heart burn is a thing of the past, I have gotten my cystic acne under control (still a work in progress) and my seasonal allergies are non-existent.

I’m sick of seeing so many people beat themselves up for not being able to reach their health goals. The truth is that being healthy is not just about discipline. My will power is no stronger than it was before. I have simply learned the truth about food and health and now crave the healthy foods and the things that make me feel great!

My background and my approach:

I’ve worked for 10 years as a Process Engineer in the Medical Device and Aerospace industries. Process Engineering is all about eliminating waste from the process – make it cheaper, faster and more efficient. I’ve taken this experience and applied it to my passion of health and wellness. I understand first hand that when working a full-time job, it is nearly impossible to keep up a healthy diet and lifestyle without getting a little creative. I focus my health coaching around applying my ‘engineering’ into your life and work together with you to figure out how to make time for your health in your busy life (and save money in the process!).

I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
